The three parishes of the Meridian Benefice belong to the Church of England in the
Diocese of Ely. The Benefice is named after the Greenwich Meridian, which passes
through the centre of the parish group. See map
The pew leaflet is given out at each church service in the Benefice each week. It
contains information on the week’s readings and Collect, details of services and
other events for the week ahead, and the names of people we are asking you to remember
in your prayers. It is updated on this site every week, usually on Thursdays.

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS

A warm welcome awaits you at any or all of our three church families. We are people
who want to follow Jesus in every part of our lives, by offering love to everyone
and walking with people on their journey towards having a relationship with Jesus.
The three churches embrace a rich diversity of worship. Each of our churches has
a different flavour: the main services at Bluntisham-cum-Earith and Colne being more
informal and Holywell-cum-Needingworth being more on the traditional pattern, but
all are within the structure of Common Worship. We also have a monthly Book of Common
Prayer Holy Communion at each of the churches and special services such as All Souls
and Taizé worship.
We warmly welcome families and children to our services and have additional services
for families: once a month we have Messy Church at Bluntisham-cum-Earith and Music
Makers at Holywell-cum-Needingworth and at Colne. There is also a Sunday school for
varying ages at Colne.
Wherever you come you will need to know that the heartbeat of our churches is pursuing
God. Our passion is to know him, to be in His presence so that we can be changed
into His likeness. As our lives are being transformed by Him, we in turn are dynamically
empowered to help transform the world around us.
