The three parishes of the Meridian Benefice belong to the Church of England in the Diocese of Ely. The Benefice is named after the Greenwich Meridian, which passes through the centre of the parish group. See map

Until March the normal pattern of worship and other activities will continue. We have a strong team of Licensed Lay Ministers and other worship leaders who will lead services, as well as the usual activities outside the church such as Music Makers and Open the Book. Services of Holy Communion must be conducted by ordained priests: we are fortunate in having clergy in this and neighbouring benefices who will support us so that we can continue with our normal Holy Communion services during the period of vacancy as far as possible. Likewise, our churches will continue to provide baptisms, weddings and funerals during the vacancy: please follow these links for more information.
Good news!
The Bishop of Huntingdon has confirmed the appointment of the next Rector of the Meridian Benefice. We shall be welcoming Revd Valmor Pimenta as our new Rector at his installation on 17 March next year.
Valmor is currently the vicar of a large parish in outer London. Representatives of our three churches, together with the Archdeacon, met with Valmor on 16 October and we unanimously voted to recommend his appointment.
